The Los Angeles Unified School District is currently engaged in the largest school construction building program in our history. Over the next couple years we will complete the construction of 131 new schools to accommodate explosive growth in our student population. New schools and site expansions will require the acquisition of over 450 acres of land, most of which we have already acquired.
The primary goal of New Construction is to provide every student the opportunity to attend a two-semester neighborhood school. Achieving this goal allows us to facilitate better education through the design, construction and maintenance of healthy, safe and modern facilities that promote schools as centers of community.
Our plan to build new facilities requires commitment and dedication that is shown by each and every member of our team in Master Planning & Demographics, Design, Community Outreach, Real Estate, Safety and Construction.
